Kenney is an Independent Trustee for Fidelity Investments as well as serving on the boards of numerous charitable organizations including Catholic Charities USA and Accion International, a leader in financial inclusion and fin-tech in the emerging markets.  She also serves on the Advisory Council of the Kellogg Institute for International Affairs at the Keough School.

Kenney’s career has spanned nearly 4 decades in banking, portfolio management and ESG/Sustainable Investing. Most recently, Tara was a Senior Vice President for Boston Common Asset Management, a leader in ESG/Impact Investing. Earlier, Kenney was a Managing Director with Deutsche Asset Management, and its predecessor firm Scudder Investments, where she directed the Institutional business for Latin America, and served as a Portfolio Manager and Head of Emerging Markets and Latin American Equities.

Kenney began her Wall Street career at the Chase Manhattan Bank and later at Bankers Trust, where she worked as a merchant banker and led the Brady Plan debt negotiations for the bank with numerous Latin American countries.  

Kenney received a BA in Government and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame and later studied Economics at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru. She earned an MBA in Finance at New York University’s Stern School of Business.
