Rick Buhrman

Buhrman Rick

Rick Buhrman is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Sator Grove Holdings, a permanent capital investor helping the world’s top entrepreneurs, operators and investors attain the extraordinary. Prior to the Grove, he served as an Investment Director at the University of Notre Dame Investment Office from 2006 through 2020. During that time, Rick had responsibility for numerous teams and asset classes, including public equity, hedge funds and fixed income. Previously, he worked as an Equity Associate at Fidelity Management & Research. 

Rick currently serves on the boards of Summus Global, the leading virtual specialty care platform in the world, as well as Expedition Holdings, a private company focused on acquiring and building durable, high quality vertical market software businesses across Europe.

Rick has been teaching at Notre Dame for over a decade and currently serves as an Executive Fellow at the Notre Dame Institute for Global Investing. In that role, he co-teaches The Art of Investing and is involved in numerous student programs related to career discernment and experiential learning.

Rick holds a bachelor of business administration in finance from the University of Notre Dame and a master of business administration from Harvard Business School. He also completed graduate studies in theology at the University of Oxford as a Harvard University Frederick Sheldon Fellow.

Rick lives in Bradenton, Florida. He and his wife, Chelsea, have two biological children (Theo & Grace) and have also served as foster parents to numerous children.


Paul Buser

Paul Buser is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Sator Grove Holdings, a permanent capital investor helping the world’s top entrepreneurs, operators and investors attain the extraordinary.  Prior to the Grove, he served as an Investment Director at the University of Notre Dame Investment Office from 2009 through 2020. There he focused on the University’s public equity portfolio. Previously, Paul worked as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Chicago and Bangkok.

Paul has been teaching at Notre Dame for over a decade and currently serves as an Executive Fellow at the Notre Dame Institute for Global Investing. In that role, he co-teaches The Art of Investing and is involved in numerous student programs related to career discernment and experiential learning.

Paul holds a bachelor of business administration in finance from the University of Notre Dame, a master of business administration from Harvard Business School, and a master of public administration from Harvard Kennedy School as a George Fellow. He is a CPA and a CFA Charterholder.

Paul resides in Bradenton, Florida. He and his wife, Molly (‘02), have four children.
