Teresa O'Flynn, Managing Director, is a founding member of Decarbonization Partners, BlackRock's joint venture with Temasek that will invest in the next generation of innovative decarbonization solutions and businesses to accelerate global efforts to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

Previously Teresa was Global Head of Sustainable Investing for BlackRock Alternatives Investors (BAI), where she was responsible for instilling BlackRock's firm-wide sustainable investing strategy across our $300bn Alternative’s investment platform including Real Estate, Infrastructure, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Credit businesses. This involved over-seeing all aspects of integrating sustainability considerations and risk factors across investment and asset management processes, expanding BAI's sustainable product offering and driving greater transparency on ESG analysis and reporting.

Previously, Ms. O'Flynn was a senior Portfolio Manager with Global Renewable Power, having joined the firm in 2011 to establish BlackRock's renewables business.

Ms. O'Flynn has over 20 years of international investment experience having worked as a Senior Corporate Finance Executive at NTR Plc, a private infrastructure developer, operator, and business owner. Ms. O'Flynn trained as a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and tax advisor (AITI) with Arthur Andersen and KPMG. She earned a BComm with first class honors’ and distinction, from University College Galway, Ireland.
