Vcic ChampionsVCIC National Champions 2017

In conjunction with various student-run clubs, the NDIGI sponsors and mentors students in all types of investment competitions. Student teams will also benefit from direct interaction and coaching from a select group of industry practitioners who have years of investment experience.

Investment competitions simulate the actual investment management process. They provide an environment wherein students can learn and apply core principles such as:

  • Evaluating markets, industries, competition, economic trends, risk, & other relevant factors
  • Drafting terms sheets for potential investments
  • Conducting due diligence sessions
  • Presenting & defending investment decisions, including stock selection
  • Managing portfolios

Investment competitions value creative thinking and are therefore typically open to all students regardless of major or college. The competitions are designed to reflect the reality of the current investing world, and therefore recognize that investors come from varied academic backgrounds.
