Mike Benevento


Mike has been a portfolio manager/securities analyst for more than 20 years. He has an expertise investing in technology, media, telecom, and consumer sectors. He is currently a portfolio manager at Twin Oak Capital Management, a Millennium Partners (MLP) Platform Company in Greenwich, CT. MLP is an alternative investment platform with over $40B of assets under management. Prior to Twin Oak he was a Sector Head with coverage responsibilities of the Media, Telecom, Internet, Gaming, Leisure & Lodging sectors at Bronson Point Management, a $2.5B long/short equity hedge fund in Fairfield, CT. Before joining Bronson Point he was a Partner & Head of Consumer, Media & Telecom investments at Hilltop Park Associates, a long/short equity hedge fund founded in 2008 and based in New York City. Prior to joining Hilltop Park at its inception, Mike was the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of DYAD Capital Management LLC, a long/short equity hedge fund founded in 2006 that focused on the Media, Telecom, Technology and Consumer Discretionary sectors. Mike was also the Senior Media, Telecom and Consumer Technology Analyst at Pequot Capital Management from 2003 to 2005, and has held senior positions at Banc of America Securities LLC and Gemstar-TV Guide International. He began his career on Wall Street in 1996 as a Gaming Analyst at Gabelli Asset Management Company, following two years at Ernst & Young, where he earned his CPA.

Mike has been a visiting adjunct professor at Columbia Business School and a frequent guest speaker in the Business Schools at Bucknell University & Fordham University. He is the Founder & former Chairman of the Bucknell Finance Network and a member of the Bison Club Board of Directors. Mike has been a youth football and baseball coach in New Canaan, CT, where he lives with his wife and four children. He is a Founding Member and current Chairman of the Board of the New Canaan Athletic Foundation (NCAF) and is a former New Canaan Youth Football board member.

Mike graduated from Bucknell University with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting, where he was a member of the varsity football team. He also earned an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
